Alchemy Yarra Valley launched as a Scandinavian inspired homewares retailer in Victoria’s beautiful Yarra Valley. We were approached by the business owners to develop a modern and minimalist brand for the new business.
Our solution was to develop an identity that conveyed the Alchemy style and ethos of “simple and elegant design”. Taking inspiration from Nordic cross Flags we created a modern, minimalist identity set in Sweden Sans. A customised central letterform creates negative space suggesting a Nordic cross.
We then applied the same modern, minimalist approach to the design and development of a new mobile responsive website, further enhancing the Alchemy brand values of simple and elegant design.
After a successful launch in 2015 the retail offering expanded to incorporate a restaurant, cafe, sushi bar and event planning service within the Alchemy complex during 2016 and 2017.
